Origins of Navigator’s Path

Navigator’s Path was designed as a long, winding par-5 that traces a natural corridor through dunes and native grasses. The hole’s shape honors the contours of the land, encouraging golfers to plan each shot carefully. The uniquely shaped green was intentionally placed to create a dramatic finishing angle. How to Play the Hole

Navigator’s Path is a long, winding par-5 requiring disciplined planning and steady execution. The hole follows natural dunes and subtle movement, asking players to navigate thoughtfully rather than rely on brute strength. Big hitters may be tempted to reach the green in two, but careful evaluation of wind, lie, and angle is essential. The closing stretch of this par-5 rewards smart decisions that set up manageable approach opportunities.

Aim down the right-center of the fairway to give yourself maximum visibility and the most predictable lie for your second shot. Drives pulled left risk settling into dune grass or on uneven lies, complicating subsequent decisions. Control is paramount, as even small directional errors can alter strategy. A stable, rhythmic swing is the key to establishing the upper hand on this demanding par-5.

Your second shot requires a choice: advance toward the narrowing neck near the green or lay up safely to a preferred yardage. Players attempting an aggressive play must account for the natural contours that can steer balls into tricky positions. Layups are best positioned in the left-center of the fairway, opening the green for an easier third shot. The approach requires crisp contact to land softly on a uniquely shaped surface, especially when winds heighten the challenge.

Around the putting surface, the dune-influenced terrain creates varied lies that test finesse and imagination. Shots from the right side generally offer smoother contours and easier run-up options. Misses left or long face intricate slopes requiring soft, controlled touches to stop the ball near the hole. Patience and thoughtful selection of landing spots are essential here.
